Hyderabad International Airport visit.

We visited Hyderabad International Airport last weekend. It was a pleasent drive without much traffic. We took the less congested route which is via Jublee Hills->Film Nagar->Mehdipatnam->Rajendra Nagar->Shamshbad route.

Below are pictures from the trip.First one the junction after Shamshabad where we have take diversion to airport. The road from Attapur to Shamshabad is little bit congested because of the construction of P.V Narshimha Rao flyover which is 4 way flyover. You can actually see the same fly over construction in the snap.

After going a bit further you find the actual entrance of the airport.

Traffic Chaos

Though not a good topic to start with, Traffic in Hyderabad was always driving me crazy..
I always wanted to do something about it. There were even times when i wanted to get down my bike and control the traffic. There were times when i had to shed my anger on others as a result of traffic chaos.
Even before we think of real estate booms share market ups and downs we don't try to analyze and change the situation of traffic. One of the worst nightmares is facing a deadly accident, but we don't realize that until we have one to our credit. We just crib about traffic but we actually don't do anything to change it. We know the rules... we know the limits... but still we tend to drive in our own way. We know that could cause lot of inconvenience but the other person is doing it why shouldn't we.. c'mon i am hyderabadi... yaha pe sab chalta hai... This is our attitude towards traffic.

Why the traffic in Hyderabad is worse? What's the cause of it? Most of the people are educated then why everyone's not following the rules... It may be because of lack of material we have or because of the easy process of getting license with out even having an idea how to drive a vehicle. Everyone lacks awareness. How many guys who has got a valid driving license know that they should not use high beam of light in the city limits?

A change is needed not in AP politics but the people who drive in Hyderabad. Awareness has to be created through any means it could be any type of media.

I have come across an interesting blog where people are suggesting and implementing really good initiatives to improve the pathetic traffic condition in Hyderabad. You can suggest or help them at trafficinhyderabad.blogspot.com

Lets make a Hyderabad a better place to live. Pearl city should shine, not with glowing lights of vehicles that struck in traffic but smiles of all people who love to be in Hyderabad.

LVPEI Best Eye Hospital in India.

One of the best things to happen to Hyderabad is LVPEI(L V Prasad Eye Institute). The main thing about the hospital is that here everyone is treated in the same way and secondly the cost of the treatment

One of my colleague Koushik, who isn't from Hyderabad got his mother in law operated at LVPEI few days back. They came all the from Kolkata for treatment. He was so happy with treatment here that, his satisfaction is actually my inspiration to pen this entry.

Initially when Koushik admitted his mother-in-law in hospital they told him about the charges. He had three options to choose from for which he will be getting the same kind of service. Even If he chose the costly option, he will be getting the same service but the extra charges will used for other people who can't afford even that. This is very good thing where people who want better service will pay for others also. If this model can be implemented in other government hospitals it would be great.

Koushik's mother-in-law's operation was a major one. Inspite of that she was discharged in two days. There was no wastage of time. The doctors are very friendly and kind. They even refunded some amount which they charged for some equipment which they didn't use during the operation. Treatment is also very punctual. Depending on severity of your illness or injury you are given appointment.

Here is' the Hospital website link http://www.lvpei.org/. If any of your relatives, friends or any unprivileged person needs some help regarding their eye sight please forward this information.

Hyderabad...Another Mumbai?

Hyderabad Population Statistics as per the Govt. Of AP
Population 1991- 31,45,939
Population 2001- 69,59,006

Let me start with Bangalore, a city once known for its planning and greenery. Bangalore is a well planned city with proper roads and infrastructure. However the fact remains the same that it was planned and designed for a population of 10 lacs, but the current population is about 80 lacs. With such a rapid growth in population, which has no match to the city's rate of growth, it is bound to create chaos and cribbing among people but then whom to blame?

If the same distance and roads have to be shared by 80 lacs people, ideally designed for 10 lacs, then it is destined to win the titles like "Worst City To Drive" in full confidence (As per CNN-IBN survey, Bangalore is worst city to drive and Hyderabad backs it in second).

Same thing is happening in Hyderabad, and in no time it will top the list of worst city to drive and worst city to live in.Still our beloved Hyderabad's expansion is not planned well, but definitely well planned to fill pockets of political leaders and their close aides.

Common man living in Hyderabad is slowly pushed out of the city outskirts, simple example would be myself, I used to stay in Ameerpet (Kinda heart of city) and with the increasing cost of living moved to Kukatpally then to Nizampet road and now to Medak district(RC Puram, Beerumguda Village). I thought of buying an apartment in Hyderabad but settled with a house in Sangareddy(Medak district). Its not just with me but many others, I've known people who have been working in Hyderabad in different workspheres(other than IT) who are now forced to live either in Vanasthali puram or in Lingampally, Affordability marking the change.

Considering these changes in the most possible optimistic way, I can conclude that we are now shedding the skins of castes and forming new communities like IT, Politics,NRIs, Industrialists and Film Industry.

Going further Hyderabad would be a place only for the new community people and people who doesn't belong to any of these communities will have no place in the city.

AGRAHARAM for the new community.

No Vacancy in Hyderabad Bars!!!!

Come weekends there two things you will not able find in Hyderabad area. One is movie tickets and other one is a place in Bar. I am not sure what no of new people are starting to drink each week as the situation seems worsen each weekend and its happening during the week days also.

May be its weather that draws the large crowds to bars. Winter, rainy season its the cold and Summer its the heat. It can be inadequate no of bars itself and Bar is a place where people tend to spend more time than a restaurant.

May be if bars can implement some type of reservation system it would be help.

Real Estate Prices are Skyrocketing.

Real Estate prices have gone very sharply. Its very difficult for common to own a house in the city now a days. Earlier it was like only IT employees could afford to buy house or flat, but now it seems like it has gone out reach for them also. Now NRIs who are buying in the city.

Prices increase only when there is increase in demand and I think the current prices as per the demand. As people are contend with owning one house, they are buying two or more for investment purposes. This is creating an artificial demand and prices are going up.

Some roads in city seem horrible. There has been drastic property development in short span of time. For example in Nizampet road lot builders like vertex, maytas and lot of other small developers have completed their projects recently and the traffic has increased drastically. The poor small road is not able to cope up with the traffic. Apart there is a multiplex coming up in that road. God save the people there. But I think that kind of growth is good for everyone.

I hope the city becomes more affrodable in future.

IT Education in Hyderabad.

There has been drastic increase in the increase in the number of IT institutes in Hyderabad. This obviously because of large huge number of engineering colleges that the state has. As a result of this the IT is blooming well in the city .

You find here all courses available. There seems to be lot of demand for SAP,JAVA,.Net courses and the cost also seems reasonable compared to actual trainings from the companies. If you are looking for a course on a particular tool then you have to search little bit I am sure you will find. Lot of these institutes have their in house labs.

The main center for this institutes is Ameerpet. When you walk through the streets of Ameerpet you find the every building filled with hoarding of IT institutes advertising about their courses. Not even small gap is left.

This is one good thing thats happening in Hyderabad.
