Hyderabad Population Statistics as per the Govt. Of AP
Population 1991- 31,45,939
Population 2001- 69,59,006
Let me start with Bangalore, a city once known for its planning and greenery. Bangalore is a well planned city with proper roads and infrastructure. However the fact remains the same that it was planned and designed for a population of 10 lacs, but the current population is about 80 lacs. With such a rapid growth in population, which has no match to the city's rate of growth, it is bound to create chaos and cribbing among people but then whom to blame?
If the same distance and roads have to be shared by 80 lacs people, ideally designed for 10 lacs, then it is destined to win the titles like "Worst City To Drive" in full confidence (As per CNN-IBN survey, Bangalore is worst city to drive and Hyderabad backs it in second).
Same thing is happening in Hyderabad, and in no time it will top the list of worst city to drive and worst city to live in.Still our beloved Hyderabad's expansion is not planned well, but definitely well planned to fill pockets of political leaders and their close aides.
Common man living in Hyderabad is slowly pushed out of the city outskirts, simple example would be myself, I used to stay in Ameerpet (Kinda heart of city) and with the increasing cost of living moved to Kukatpally then to Nizampet road and now to Medak district(RC Puram, Beerumguda Village). I thought of buying an apartment in Hyderabad but settled with a house in Sangareddy(Medak district). Its not just with me but many others, I've known people who have been working in Hyderabad in different workspheres(other than IT) who are now forced to live either in Vanasthali puram or in Lingampally, Affordability marking the change.
Considering these changes in the most possible optimistic way, I can conclude that we are now shedding the skins of castes and forming new communities like IT, Politics,NRIs, Industrialists and Film Industry.
Going further Hyderabad would be a place only for the new community people and people who doesn't belong to any of these communities will have no place in the city.
AGRAHARAM for the new community.
