Traffic Chaos

Though not a good topic to start with, Traffic in Hyderabad was always driving me crazy..
I always wanted to do something about it. There were even times when i wanted to get down my bike and control the traffic. There were times when i had to shed my anger on others as a result of traffic chaos.
Even before we think of real estate booms share market ups and downs we don't try to analyze and change the situation of traffic. One of the worst nightmares is facing a deadly accident, but we don't realize that until we have one to our credit. We just crib about traffic but we actually don't do anything to change it. We know the rules... we know the limits... but still we tend to drive in our own way. We know that could cause lot of inconvenience but the other person is doing it why shouldn't we.. c'mon i am hyderabadi... yaha pe sab chalta hai... This is our attitude towards traffic.

Why the traffic in Hyderabad is worse? What's the cause of it? Most of the people are educated then why everyone's not following the rules... It may be because of lack of material we have or because of the easy process of getting license with out even having an idea how to drive a vehicle. Everyone lacks awareness. How many guys who has got a valid driving license know that they should not use high beam of light in the city limits?

A change is needed not in AP politics but the people who drive in Hyderabad. Awareness has to be created through any means it could be any type of media.

I have come across an interesting blog where people are suggesting and implementing really good initiatives to improve the pathetic traffic condition in Hyderabad. You can suggest or help them at trafficinhyderabad.blogspot.com

Lets make a Hyderabad a better place to live. Pearl city should shine, not with glowing lights of vehicles that struck in traffic but smiles of all people who love to be in Hyderabad.

The frustration which you showed is quiet reliable and same as to those who understand the meaning of traffic.
the process of license issuing is also quiet funny.the license is judged by off-road
test drive and issued for on-road driving does`nt make enough sense.
most of the people want to reach home or office as soon as possible only to avoid staying in the traffic whether its matter of urgency or not!
this results in confused traffic and added some crazy drivers lead to mishaps like there in a grandprix.
this confused traffic in Hyderabad is the result of improper planning by the authorities.
the roads now are not designed to handle this much of traffic in spite of knowing that population in the city grows consequently day by day.
the main aspects which should have been taken for granted by the government during planning is proper road plans& controlled vehicle sales.
i think the problem is at the beginning of peak level and gets worse in the next 2 years.
